Do you take insurance?
Many insurance companies will at least partially reimburse you for doula services, and most will fully cover lactation services. This also includes reimbursement through your FSA, HSA, and HRA. Please contact me to discuss further.
Can I purchase your services for someone?
Absolutely! I offer gifts cards or you could contact me directly to discuss payment. My services make excellent baby shower gifts.
Why Mothership?
Mothership has a great deal of meaning for me. A very close friend of mine (and the very best of humans) transitioned from this life. She owned and operated a farm in northern CA called Mothership. My work is something that was very dear to her, as she was to me.
What are your Covid protocols?
I test frequently and will always ask if I should wear a mask in your home. If I feel at all ill in any way I will reschedule or do a virtual visit. If I test positive I will quarantine and return to work once I've tested negative. If you or someone you live with is ill, I will ask that we reschedule or do a virtual visit until everyone is healthy.
Are there any services you don't provide?
Yes. For insurance purposes I cannot drive you or your child/ren in a vehicle. I will gladly watch your child/ren to facilitate self care but that is not the sole purpose of my visits. I will do light housekeeping, but that is not the focus of my work. I will travel within a 30 minute radius of Flagstaff for appointments.
Do you offer discounts?
I offer a 10% discount on packages for the members of our BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities to help with the discrepancy in care they face in our current healthcare system.
